Jam #16 Review
Our very first jam was on July 26th. That was also Izzy’s first day of work at Ziggy’s. I’m sure we were all wondering what would come of our new endeavors. In the 16 jams that have brought us to today, she became an integral part of what we are trying to accomplish. She is truly an All-Star. Last night, we wished her well as she is soon moving home to Chicago. However, we couldn’t let her leave without joining the band. Izzy was given a choice of any song in the world to sing. We’d find a band to support her. She chose “I Don’t Love You,” by My Chemical Romance. Backed by our house drummer, Brant, and the “Feral Parents” (Rufus Gulick on bass, Randall Lewis on lead guitar, and Terry Hopp on rhythm guitar), Izzy took the stage and made us all proud. It was surely a night to remember.
Our showcase band, Dirty Bottles, proved to be incredibly professional and infectious. Remember the name and keep an eye out. You’ll be seeing a lot more of them, I’m sure. Go check them out!
Tonight we welcomed Jeff Pedro, Jolene Kay, Izzy Colon, Jack Williams-Krieg, Justin Merritt, Max Alfano-Smith, and Jon Stunn Magnuson to the band. Let’s keep on growing!
Here are the set lists as they played out last night
WOOOOO to Beggin’! Madcon in the house. Great song choice!!!
Thanks Sara, it’s definitely a fun one!
